The $61,000 Ibrahim Flat — Secret Receipts in an Abandoned Bathroom Office

The Ibrahim flat, valued at roughly $61,000, carries its quiet story inside the bathroom that once doubled as a private workspace. On the sink counter, envelopes of receipts remain stacked where they were last counted.

Amina Ibrahim, Tailor and Alterations Specialist

Amina Ibrahim, born 1987 in Cairo, ran a small clothing alteration service from her apartment.

Eight traces of her work remain: a measuring tape draped over a towel hook; a sewing kit in a plastic box; fabric samples folded in a basket; a receipt pad labeled receipts; a pair of fabric scissors; a handheld calculator; a small ironing board leaning behind the door; and a spool container filled with colorful thread.
After long days sewing garments in the living room, she retreated to the bathroom counter each night to record payments. The mirror shelf held folders sorted by client names, and envelopes of receipts were arranged by week.

Customers Disappeared

A nearby clothing market closed during renovations, cutting off most of her customers. Orders slowed, and unfinished garments piled up. The receipt pad shows fewer and fewer entries before stopping entirely.

Back in the bathroom office, the envelopes labeled receipts remain untouched on the counter.
The flat is modest and quiet, its unusual bathroom workspace intact—holding the final records of small tailoring jobs that were never finished.
