The Abandoned Mansion That Once Belonged To Music Icon Kenny Rogers

An abandoned mansion in Atlanta, Georgia, formerly owned by country music icon Kenny Rogers, has been featured in new photos. The six-bedroom property, built in 1990, spans 15,000 square feet and includes a derelict fountain among its outdoor features.

Kenny Rogers reportedly lived at the mansion until 2006 when he sold it for $8.5 million. Subsequently, it was rented out for events and business opportunities. However, more recently, the property has been left vacant for a couple of years.

The mansion gained attention after urban explorer Bretton Barry, 19, visited and shared photos of the derelict estate with Media Drum World. The images reveal the grand exterior, several rooms, and the entrance hallway with a lavish chandelier. Notably, one of the bedrooms still features a four-poster bed, and one of the seven bathrooms was showcased by the urban explorer.

The mansion had its share of controversies, allegedly facing noise complaints and issues with parties when used for business. As a result, the operation was closed down, and the estate has been vacant since. Nevertheless, it has attracted interest within the urban exploration community, known as ‘Urbex,’ with Bretton’s visit.

Discussing his experience, Bretton mentioned the mansion’s allure within the Urbex community. He described the property’s impressive architecture, including a bedroom in a massive room with high ceilings. Outside, Bretton noticed a large swimming pool, a nearby bar, and an overgrown fountain filled with moss.

Inside, the interiors were described as beautiful, with one room resembling an Egyptian tomb and another featuring a Southeast Asian style. The master bedroom particularly caught his attention with its huge walls and four-poster bed, giving it a regal appearance.

Bretton expressed his fascination with urban exploration, satisfied by discovering the hidden secrets of the mansion’s past. His exploration of the property left him feeling very happy, calling it an amazing spot. Many wonder how such a large and remarkable estate could end up abandoned.
